Abstract
This study aimed at identifying the impact of teaching the skills of basketball curriculum by using the strategy of numbered headers on developing creative thinking (Brinston test) among the students of Basketball (2) in the faculty of Sports sciences at the University of Jordan during the academic year (2023/2024). The study used the qusai- experimental approach. The study sample consisted of (30) students, who were divided into two groups; the control group that studied using the usual way, and the experimental group which studied by using the numbered headers strategy. Princeton developed test was applied to both groups at the beginning of the semester (pre-test) and at the end of the semester (post-test), and (t-test) was used. The results revealed that there are statistically significant differences in creative thinking in favor of the experimental group. The study recommended the necessity of applying the strategy of numbered headers in teaching sports skills in the various group games.
