Abstract

Occupational health nursing is a specialized field where medical nurses focus on promoting workplace wellness, preventing injuries, and ensuring employee safety. These professionals play a crucial role in assessing workplace hazards, implementing health surveillance programs, and educating workers on safe practices. This article explores the diverse responsibilities of occupational health nurses, the skills required, and the challenges they face in balancing the needs of employers and employees. It also highlights the significant impact of their work on reducing absenteeism, improving productivity, and lowering healthcare costs.
