Bibliometric Review on Innovation in Business Models, in The Context of Sustainability and Digital Transformation
Abstract
The objective of this study is to carry out a bibliometric analysis to explore the relationship between innovation in business models, sustainability and digital transformation. The methodology used allowed the analysis of scientific production in these topics, integrating bibliometric analysis and visualization tools to understand the relationships, foundations and lines of current research. A total of 441 articles were reviewed, of which 228 belonged to the Scopus database and 213 to the Web of Science database. The time period analyzed was from 2022 to 2026. The analysis was carried out using the VOSviewer 1.6.20 bibliometric tools, which allowed the identification of conceptual and structured relationships within the scientific production of these topics; the Tree of Science tool allowed the identification of the structure of knowledge and its evolution through citation networks. The main findings of the research suggest the need to carry out studies in regional and local contexts to measure the real impact of innovation in business models for medium, small companies. A trend in conducting research on innovation and digital transformations on traditional business models and new businesses is concluded, which provides a clear orientation towards the sustainability of organizations.
